Wicaksono Adi

Wicaksono Adi menempuh pendidikan di Fakultas Teknik Sipil Universitas Islam Indonesia dan Jurusan Seni Lukis Fakultas Seni Rupa dan Desain Institut Seni Indonesia, keduanya di Yogyakarta. Beberapa tahun menjadi Direktur Program pada Yayasan Seni Rupa Indonesia, Jakarta. Satu dasawarsa menjadi redaktur budaya beberapa media massa nasional; mendirikan sekaligus menjadi pepimpin redaksi Majalah Film F (2005-2007); menjadi salah satu pendiri Borobudur Writers and Cultural Festival (2012). Menjadi Direktur Program pada Nagara Institute (2019). Menulis ulasan seni rupa, sastra dan seni pertunjukan serta mengkuratori beberapa pameran. Buku-buku yang telah diterbitkan antara lain Aspek-aspek Seni Visual Indonesia dalam 3 jilid – sebagai penyunting (Yayasan Seni Cemeti, Yogyakarta, 2010), Seni Rupa dalam Kritik dan Esai – sebagai penyunting (2012) dan Menyangkal Sorga: Esai-esai Seni Modern (2017).

Wicaksono Adi enrolled at Universitas Islam Indonesia in Civil Engineering Faculty and in Painting Department of Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at Institut Seni Indonesia, both university are located in Yogyakarta. For several years, he is in charge as Program Director at Indonesian Fine Art Foundation, Jakarta. A decade of being an editor in culture for a number of national mass media company; founded and became editor in chief of F Movie Magazine (2005-2007); co-founder of Borobudur Writers and Cultural Festival (2012). Program Director at Nagara Institute (2019). Writes art reviews, literature and performance art as well as in charge as curator for several exhibitions. Among his works that has been published are “Aspek-aspek Seni Visual Indonesia” in three edition- editor (Yayasan Seni Cemeti, Yogyakarta, 2010), “Seni Rupa dalam Kritik dan Esai”- editor (2012), and Menyangkal Sorga: Esai-esai Seni Modern (2017).

M. Ridwan Alimuddin

Ridwan merupakan seorang penulis, jurnalis, fotografer, pustakawan dan juga peneliti lepas. Beberapa kali mengikuti ekspedisi, termasuk Ekspedisi Cengkeh dan Ekspedisi Padewakang Napak Tilas Pelayaran Teripang Makassar – Australia.

Selain itu, Ridwan terlibat pula dalam pembuatan replika perahu rempah di Pameran Jalur Rempah (Jakarta 2015) dan Europalia (Belgia 2017). Ia aktif menulis dan menerbitkan buku sejak tahun 2004, dan telah menulis beberapa buku seputar kebaharian nusantara & kebudayaan Mandar. Di kampung halamannya, Ridwan mengelola komunitas literasi Armada Pustaka Mandar yang memiliki Perahu Pustaka dan Museum Maritim Nusa Pustaka.

Saat ini, Ridwan tinggal di Pambusuang, kampung nelayan di pesisir Teluk Mandar, Sulawesi Barat.

Ridwan is an author, journalist, photographer, librarian and freelance researcher. Participated in several socio-cultural expeditions, including Ekspedisi Cengkeh and Ekspedisi Padewakang Napak Tilas Pelayaran Teripang Makassar – Australia.

Besides those, Ridwan also involved in the production of the replica of spice trade ship in Pameran Jalur Rempah (Jakarta 2015) and Europalia (Belgia 2017). he has been writing and publishing regularly since 2004, some of his works are about Indonesian maritime culture and Mandarese culture. In his hometown, Ridwan organize Armada Pustaka Mandar, a literacy collective, equipped with Perahu Pustaka and Museum Maritim Nusa Pustaka.

At this time, Ridwan lives in Pambusuang, a fisherman village on the coast of Teluk Mandar, West Sulawesi.

Wahyaningsih

Wahyaningsih, akrab disapa Bu Wahya, adalah pendiri Sanggar Anak Alam (SALAM) yang berlokasi di daerah Nitiprayan, Yogyakarta. Melalui SALAM, perempuan kelahiran Klaten ini menggagas dan mengembangkan model sekolah kehidupan yang menaruh fokus pada kemerdekaan belajar serta sikap sosial anak sejak dini.

Hingga kini, Bu Wahya bersama suaminya, Toto Rahardjo, aktif menjadi pembicara dalam berbagai forum dan seminar terkait pendidikan alternatif yang dilakukannya bersama SALAM. Ia juga aktif dalam berbagai organisasi, salah satunya selaku Dewan Pakar Pendidikan di Badan Pusat Wanita Tamansiswa.

Wahyaningsih, people known her as Bu Wahya, is the founder of Sanggar Alam Anak (SALAM) located in Nitiprayan, Yogyakarta. Through SALAM, this Klaten-born female initiated and developed the life-essential school model focused on freedom of learning and children’s social attitude from early age.

To this day, Bu Wahya and her husband, Toto Raharjo, frequently involved as key speaker in a number of forums and seminars on alternative education through SALAM. She also actively takes part in several organizatio, for instance, as member of Education Panel of Experts in Tamansiswa Women Central Board 

Nur Utami Ningsih

Seorang akademisi dan peneliti yang memiliki minat kajian pada studi keberlanjutan dan kebudayaan. Saat ini bekerja sebagai dosen Program Studi Hubungan Internasional di UIN Alauddin Makassar. Pada tahun 2015, setelah menyelesaikan studi magister di Universitas Indonesia, Utami bekerja sebagai Program Manager FLIM (Forum Lingkungan Mulawarman) dan menginisiasi pendampingan masyarakat di Teluk Semanting, Kalimantan Timur, dalam mengembangkan pengelolaan Hutan Mangrove nya sebagai wilayah Ekowisata. Hingga saat ini, Utami aktif menelusuri konsep keberlanjutan dalam perspektif masyarakat adat dan berkontribusi dalam gerakan sosial terkait kebudayaan dan pembangunan berkelanjutan bersama lembaga lokal yang dirintisnya sejak 2018 bernama, Baraka Institute.

Riwayat penelitian dan publikasi Utami sejak tahun 2014 berkisar pada topik terkait ekologi politik, isu-isu transnasional dengan pendekatan kritis, dan topik terkait masyarakat adat dan studi keberlanjutan. Sejak 2021 hingga saat ini, saya aktif meneliti mengenai representasi masyarakat adat dalam target global SDGs berkolaborasi dengan peneliti dari Australian National University. Beberapa artikel jurnalisme perkotaan saya tulis dan diterbitkan dalam buku bunga rampai Jurnalisme Plat Kuning (Tanahindie).

A lecturer and researcher who lays her attention to cultural and sustainability studies. Working currently as a lecturer in International Relations Departmen at UIN Alauddin Makassar. In 2015, after graduated from Universitas Indonesia for her master degree, Utami worked as a Program Manager of FLIM (Forum Lingkungan Mulawarman) and initiated a community advocacy in order to establish the community based management of their mangrove forest for ecotourism area in Teluk Semanting, East Kalimantan. Until this day, Utami has been actively studying notion of sustainability from indigenous people point of view, and contributing in sustainable developmental and cultural social movement through a local institute she initiated in 2018, Baraka Institute.

Her list of researches and published works since 2014 mostly around political ecology issues, transnational issues from critical approach, and issues on indigenous people and sustainability studies. Since 2021, she has been conducting research on the representation of indigenous people in the global target of SDGs, collaborating with a researcher from Australian National University. She has written a number of urban journalism articles published in the book of collected works Jurnalisme Plat Kuning (Tanahindie).

Ryan Tans

Ryan Tans adalah dosen di Yale-NUS College dan NUS College, Singapura, jurusan PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics). Penelitiannya mengkaji pembangunan dan adaptasi pesisir di daerah Asia Tenggara dalam era perubahan iklim. Sebelumnya, riset Ryan meneliti tentang pemilihan daerah di Sumatera Utara dan pendapatan daerah di Indonesia dan Filipina. Hasil tulisan Ryan dapat dibaca di sejumlah media, termasuk Journal of East Asian Studies, Asian Politics & Policy, dan East-West Center.

Pada tahun 2017, Ryan Tans menerima gelar PhD dalam ilmu politik dari Emory University, USA, juga gelar MA dalam Studi Asia Tenggara dari National University of Singapore. Ryan pernah bekerja sebagai peneliti tamu di Center for Southeast Asian Studies-Indonesia, Jakarta; sebagai dosen di Northern Arizona University dan Santa Clara University, USA; dan sebagai postdoctoral fellow di Stanford University, USA.

Pada tahun 2024, Ryan berencana akan membawa beberapa mahasiswa-mahasiswi NUS College untuk studi perjalanan ke Indonesia, tepatnya di wilayah DKI/Jawa Barat.

Ryan Tans is a lecturer at Yale-NUS College and NUS College, Singapore, majoring in PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics). His research examines coastal development and adaptation in Southeast Asia in an era of climate change. Previously, Ryan’s research examined regional elections in North Sumatra and regional income in Indonesia and the Philippines. Ryan’s writings can be read in a number of media, including the Journal of East Asian Studies, Asian Politics & Policy, and the East-West Center.

In 2017, Ryan Tans received a PhD in political science from Emory University, USA, as well as an MA in Southeast Asian Studies from the National University of Singapore. Ryan has worked as a visiting researcher at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies-Indonesia, Jakarta; as a lecturer at Northern Arizona University and Santa Clara University, USA; and as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University, USA.

In 2024, Ryan plans to take several NUS College students on a study trip to Indonesia, specifically in the DKI/West Java area.
